Here's a pic of the fork tool I made with normal hardware store stuff. The business end has a rubber vacuum cap (roughly 9/16" OD) superglued onto the shaft.

Hope no one minds that I resurrected this old thread. I learned a lot from it, but now I've got another project and another question. Has anyone made a tool that will fit the inner fork cylinder for a 1976 kz900-B1? I'm guessing the one I made for the 750 won't work. Looking at Ma Kaws site, the same cylinder was used on the following bikes:

1976-1979 KZ750 B series
1977 KZ1000 A1
1976-77 KZ900-A4&A5
