Thats not an endorsement for the 404's in your situation.
I can tell you at least that they will be OK for reasonably hard riding as thats what I do.

They are a nice tire in the sizes for our classic bikes. I love them on my old 80 LTD 1000 and my current 82 LTD 1000. There are better tires but if I put on a sport bike tire, assuming it came in my size, then something else would need upgrading like shocks, forks, frame, etc.
I've ridden 404's here in Florida cruising at 80mph on the interstate in 100 degree weather and also in the mid 30's and they are fine.
But hey, don't take my opinion for it.... search for Dunlop 401 and 402's and see who else uses them for their bikes:
