My current (bent) frame's vin number is kz650b-503776 and my current engine's vin is kz650DE035673

I need a new frame and was wondering what years and models I should look for.

What part of the country are you in?

I just pulled an exhaust system off a Kz-650b something or other.

Have you stripped your bike to the frame yet?
Can you weigh the frame and get me an estimate of shipping cost to 30106? It would be the same approximate cost to you, without me doing this part of the preliminary labor.

I can get you the frame number and find out how much the owner would take for it. I don't know if you would need a title where you are. You probably could get a salvage / rebuilder title if the numbers are important.

As old as the bikes are, sometimes titles don't matter.

No I didn't strip the bike yet, I wanted to make sure I could find a frame at a decent price first.

Sounds like this one might be the candidate for you.

I don't know anything about what a decent price is. Maybe you can tell me. If you sell the bike as is, you make money now.

If you are going to repair it, you need to strip it down no matter what a frame is going to cost.

If you are going to have a frame shipped to you, you will need to know how much shipping costs are.

Offers of help only go so far.

Maybe you can get a frame at a local boneyard and not pay anything for shipping.

Costs of shipping might make a frame from anywhere too expensive.

Maybe you can get a frame off E-bay. They usually list shipping costs with the listing.

I had to get a price on shipping a 650 frame, so these specs might give you some idea.
My frame was without the front end, no tripple clamps, etc. No swingarm either.

Length 53", 1346 mm
Width 18", 457 mm
Hight 30", 762 mm

Weight 44 lbs, 20 KG.

Shipping by UPS, Canada to the USA: $200~250.

I have heard of people shipping frames by bus, and apparently that's the cheapest way to ship them, at least within the US.

No swingarm on the bike and it has not been welded. The only thing I did was shave a little matterial off the inside were the swingarm mounts to.
