I thought I saw them at Wal-Mart or at Farm N Fleet (midwest chain)

I can't remember the price, but it was in that ballpark.

at least if you see them in a store, you can look at them and save on shipping.

$75 fine seems a little steep for the looks.:)

Why would they give you a ticket? I see kids with cars that have lights under them. Lights on the license plate frame etc. It seems like it would increase your visibility.I'm off to Walmart!:woohoo:

I am in springfield illinois, and the cops here are(insert bad words here) our laws are no neon lights in or on your vehicle while on a public road. Now if you are in a parking lot it is ok ta run em.

What do you suppose the reasoning is behind that? I mean is there some safety issue that I am unaware of?

I guess I'm all for the safety angle.
But I think most people pull out in front of bikes (or turn left in front of them). Don't know how much help the led's would really be, but every little bit helps.

A friend of mine HAD valve stem leds on his FJ1100. He found that the added weight of the the little buggers folded over and split the rubbber valve stems:ohmy: He noticed this when his bike started to "handle funny" just after a really hard launch. He got it stopped just before both tires went flat:whistle:

He has since installed steel valve stems and no, he did not re-install the leds.;)

Just something to think about.
