First off, thank YOU for putting all that thought to my no-start problem, I do appreciate - and 'it's funny you mentioned to make sure that the coils are connected to the right locations...but I got it figured out.
Let me first say that I like to think of myself as a fairly intelligent guy, but I'm actually about as sharp as a pound of wet leather...the KZ650B is an inline four, and Yes, I had spark at all the spark plugs, and everything else Spot-On - but it would have helped IF I HAD THE CORRECT SPARK CAPS GOING TO THE CORRECT PLUGS!! DOH!! In the process of checking all the plugs and wires I must have absent-mindedly switched 1 and 2. "The Forest for the Trees," I guess...I took a closer look at the spark wires, saw the mistake, put them where they should've gone in the FIRST place, and Lo and Behold she fired right up; purrs like a kitten. I'm going to have to make a Dunce cap for the garage...silver lining though, at least I know my points and gap are correct! (Hoo, Boy...it's the little things, y'know..???)
Be sure to double-check your work, kids!

I would suggest doing the voltage drop test while cranking

I am a firm believer in the fact we learn more from our mistakes than from our victories. One does not learn if always winning.
