@Wookie - I kind of had that in the back of my mind as I thought there might be some resistance but overall thought it would just blow the fuse if it were to small. Glad you smacked me upside the head with logic. I didn't realize those coils would draw nearly 10A , just thought you were being conservative calling for a 10A fuse.  I'll get the proper fuse and give it another go after I get the carb boot problem fixed. -- Thanks for hanging in there with me!

Well guys, received the carb boots and was able to finally get the whole bike back together and running. She cleaned up nice and now starts right up, still could use a little carb tuning to make it run perfect but overall I'm just happy to having running and rideable.
