Well..., this might not be much help.
Our earliest Z-bike, Z1F-023xx, is a basket case we completed a few years ago. The horn has a nut/large stud mounted on a two-leaf bracket. The large stud has a slot in it as if intended for a large screwdriver. This horn was included in the boxes of parts that ultimately became the assembled bike. 0% confidence of it being factory OEM, but now we're curious where it falls in the horn hierarchy.
The earliest '73 of which we're confident the horn is factory OEM is Z1F-038xx. It has the small bolt on the rear of the horn for the bracket and a two-leaf bracket, one leaf of which arrears to be cracked. (Note to selves - gotta check that out.)
Next up, "The Wounded Z" - an ongoing resto project, Z1F-168xx. It has a horn with large nut/small stud BUT, the bracket has been replaced with a strip of aluminum bar stock. We strongly suspect the horn is original but are not 100% confident.
Next is Z1F-236xx, a late '73 mfgr. date '74 Z1-A that slmjim bought new. Large nut/small stud. 100% confident it's factory OEM.
Finally, a Z1-A, Z1F-420xx. Large nut/small stud. 100% confidence.
We're doing some interior painting & the '75 Z1-B's are sorta caged in by closet doors running loose in the shop at the moment. Didn't see any point in checking the '75's anyway.

Everything I ever wanted to know about horns and then some! One component down , plenty to still learn. Where do you find the superseded Kawasaki service info at Jim/Bebe? You must surely have a Great library of literature. Two 75's running amuck you say?

Kawasaki put out a lot of service notices over the years. There are several part collections. This site has many of them.

Superseded parts info is also available in a 1994 Kawasaki Parts Retail Price Guide we acquired in a parts lot about 20 yrs. ago, as well as a bound set of U.S. Z1 Service bulletins that came to us from fleaBay at about the same time.
It's the closet doors that are running amok in the shop, in various stages of undress/refinishing. The '75 are comfortably resting in deep sleep.
The link to the www.kawasaki-z-classik.com forum hardrockminer mentioned has been in our sig line for years. The base membership goes back to the late 1990's, when the now-long-defunct MSN forums were in their heyday. We've known many of the members for decades, mostly online but, we've personally met other long-term members from as far away as Canada, Australia and Greece.
www.kawasaki-z-classik.com is focused exclusively on the aircooled Z1/KZ900 family, and also includes the Z2's. Documentation available to members in good standing is broad and deep for all things Z1/Z2/KZ900.

Does anyone know how to put the horn back together correctly, is this washer part of the horn and if so does it go under the points?
