Intermittent Starting Problem

So I've repaired the broken yellow and black wire and another blue and white I found with a crack in it:





Only problem is this has not fixed my problem. I further investigated the harness and don't see any other visible damage. I'm at a loss now. Any point to point checks I can make? Any suggestions?

Well I finally got too frustrated, assumed the worst and pulled the tank off... Cut all the looming and tape from the harness and started tracing wires for breaks or shorts. Low and behold I find this freaking ground plug, completly separate from the entire rest of the harness, half pulled out of the connected, a quick push back together and I was back in action. Took me another two hours to re-wrap the harness in loom and tape it up. Also a giant PITA to get all those connectors and wires stuffed back into the headlight but it's all together and I'm back in action.

Yeah, it's usually something stupid. :dry:
