Off topic, but what do you use for throttle bodies?

I promise not to disown you if you use the DTA computer :P

As for throttle bodies, it gets confusing. GPz750 Turbo uses 33mm and GPz1100 34mm (I think). They were early fuel injection and Kawasaki used throttle bodies comparable to carb sizes. Later fuel injected models used much larger throttle bodies, 43mm for the ZX10R, and 46mm for the ZX12. Early fuel injected Yamaha R6 used 38mm CV throttle bodies (the only CV throttle bodies I've seen) while the Suzuki 600/750/1000/1300 early models all used the same 42mm throttle bodies.
The best thing about the GPz throttle bodies is they'll bolt right on, but they may not allow maximum power. Others require a bit of work to fit.

Kind of leaves you scratching your head, don't it?

The 750 turbo bodies are only 29mm where it counts, but they'll still flow more than enough for 200hp. The 1100 ones at 34mm are good insurance, and for what they cost are a no-brainer.

The DTA S60 is excellent. A pal of mine runs one on his 240+mph 600hp ZZR1100.

Lorcan, are you using a ZX12 ECU with a Power Commander III to run your 750 Turbo?
Seems like I read that on your site a long time ago.
What throttle bodies do you have on the 750 Turbo?

Again, IIRC, it was cranking out ~256 RWHP?

I used a PC3 from a ZX12 with the standard turbo ECU, and 1100 TBs back in 2006. The PC3 was mapped to boost, so the bike ran like a stocker at low boost but still fuelled correctly as the boost went up to 30psi. I haven't run the bike since then.

The bike made 235hp with a boost leak just before it ran 195mph. It wasn't dynoed again after the boost leak was fixed and it ran 211mph, but it was probably around the 250hp mark.

Jeff's make recorded 255hp on the dyno with a similar setup.

Ok, just an update, i talked to the guy about this sensor thing off Throttlebody #1 that lets us know when the inlet valve is open, he uses another MAP sensor, seemingly with good effect. He told me all it needs to do is signal the pressure drop to signal the sequence of events, might be worth a try?

Hi. I am about to go on the same journey with my KZ1000J engine.
I wonder what you use for crank sensor?
The Stock sensors or some kind of 36:1 triggerwheel with a sensor?

Either/or will work.

Since I'm here :P

The ZX12 is just an engine spread out across a workbench with a big pile of boxes containing new engine parts (including MS3). The ZZR1200 engine is sitting in a cradle beside the ZX11 waiting on me to finish the top end and flip it over for a bottom end inspection.

Over a year now and nothing's changed !!!
