hey trip i think the reg/rec checked out ok, i have 6 wires in the reg/rec plug,3 are yellow from stator,1 brown,switched 12 volt,1 black, w/ yellow tracer,ground,i checked the ground side w/ the 3 yellow wires with the diode check on my meter,i get power 1 way but not the other way,that's good right ??I checked the white wire w/ the 3 yellow wires, i had to reverse the leads opposite of the ground check but have power there also, just the opposite direction as the ground lead check,if this makes any sense to you. I'm bound and determined to learn the electronics.The only thing i don't understand is how come i get no reading at all testing the brown switched 12v input w/ any of the yellow wires.
