yes, 90'sare always suspect, certainly where clamped in.
this was a run in the middle more or less under the tank, I'm guessing it was damaaged at some point removing carbs, or something......wait a minute.....I just had the valves adjusted three weeks ago....sonuva.....

Did you do the valve adjustment checks, or someone else? I'd look at where wires are clamped too tight/pinched.

A local shop did the work, funny story, stop me if you've heard this before. You see, I thought, I'm cracking up, for 100 bucks and the guys word that it would be done in two days, allowing me to work and then ride the up coming weekend, Oh, I can hardly tell the story I'm laughing so hard...two weeks later its done[strike]...ha.....ha.......ha...[/strike]
I bet when the tank was off they were trying to get the valve covers off and did the grind and bang no ones looking, aint my bike shuffle
replaced a section about a foot long. works perfect again.
