I wouldn't worry unless the battery is not charging. I've been riding this rigged KZ650 which is 77B1, but I put on all the B2 charge system, which was the combined rec/reg, the stator/cover and the rotor. i check the volts and I don't care if I'm wrapped up to 9000 rpm, it never goes over 13v. It's been like his for near 50,000 miles now and my battery is charged and starts the bike every day.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

A lower set point on the regulator will show the lower voltage of the 13.2 stated. What you really want to know is the system making more Amperage than its using, while maintaining above regulator set point voltage. Amp meter, will show this.

Well bike is all back together after resealing the tank. While I was at it I fixed up all the wiring and tightened up and clean all the connectors in the harness and put in new fuses. There was never a charging issue. I think just the dirty connections were the issue. Built up a lot of resistance. Next is to get rid of pod filters and put the original airbox back in which I found today.
