Any suggestions for a horn or horns for my KZ1000J? The stock ones work fine, but they are wimpy at best. Can't say there would be too many things where my H-D would better the old cow, but the horn is definately one of the them!

Go to the nearest auto parts store and look at Fiamm electric horns. You'll probably need to use a relay to power them as they can oveload your horn button contacts.

I spent about 80 bucks on my most recent horn set. They are working great and are surprisingly loud. It was from a BMW Motorcycle shop here in Seattle. Wish I could remember the brand. They were a second attempt at getting some decent horns working on my bike as the first ones failed for not dealing with the Seattle rain...

If anyone knows of a good kit available online please share the source. A loud horn is a great thing to have for those of us "outside the box" travellers.

Won't fit. But I'm looking at packing the works into a backpack and mounting the trumpets on my helmet. If anyone laughs at me I'll pull up close to them, aim my helmet trumpets directly at them, and give them a blast! :woohoo:

I have a pair of Stebel Magnum horns (one hi tone, one low tone) on my 1000. Pretty easy install, they came with a relay. They are chrome, don't look to bad and even scare me when I use them. They are LOUD. I bought them online (Cant remember where) but remember they were around $40.

EDIT: I found the link to where I bought them.
