Muddy... Get your electrical fixed first for you may be surprised what a new set of coils will do for that KZ...;)

New coils, plug wire set, Dyna 3 ignition with ideal voltages being supplied and you'll gain some surprising response from the old girl....

Valve clearances in spec, timing advancer operating correctly, no vacuum/exhaust leaks and you'll be doing triple digits... :woohoo: Hang on honey.... :evil:

Chased electrical/timing...couple hours.

New coils/plugs/wires....$90.

A quick frenzied cleaning of carb-jets so I can get back on the road because it was 70 degress with bluebird skies...priceless.

I blame this Lucas "Tune Up in a bottle" that the guy at parts store talked me into. I think it loosened up some 30 year old gunk and plugged up #4. This stuff will probably make a good carb dip/ cleaner.

Anyway it runs better than every as a result of "all of the above". Thanks to all for the help and the quick replies. KZrider peeps are great.
