Thanks bountyhunter. I went to a custom cycle shop and they actually had an old coil that was for an 78 kz750. Only cost $10. Sure beat any price I've seen! Got it running! Thank you to everyone who helped me with this and hopefully this post will help others in the future. Thanks again!

No problem, good luck. I hope the new old coil is hardier than the old old coil....:laugh:

If I sound bitter it's because I bought a "good used" coil off ebay after my original failed and the new old one failed in about six months. That's when it occurred to me replacing a 30 year old coil with another 30 year old coil was not the way to go.....
