I believe Kawasaki dealer service departments often still have and use the electro testers, and will likely test a customer's coils for free.
The tool is superior to an ohm check, because it tests the spark producing power of the coil under stress of high speed operating conditions, whereas the ohm test may fail to indicate a high speed internal short.
At least that's my understanding.
It's quite impressive when seeing the electro tester in action.
