LED bulbs for turn signals.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI wanted to try these out since this subject was last brought up here. I ordered these on eBay and they are great. I have used the bulbs from "Super Bright LED" before and they are nice and bright as you look at them from the front. This gives you a bright spot in the middle and nothing or next to nothing on the sides. These work great. They are not as super bright in the center as the others but they light up the entire lens. Even the lenses on my GPz signals that have NO reflector. I bet the red ones would work just as well on the tail lights. I am really impressed with these. All you will require is a LED flasher unit.

Here is a picture of the bulb inside a GPz Signal, without a reflector (the way they come).

What I am going to try is to paint the inside of the signal with Chrome paint. That should really light it up, because 28 of the 36 LEDs point to the sides.

Would making a reflector using either the aluminum foil tape or just some foil cut to shape and glued in work?

I'm quite sure that that would work fine. But a spray can with chrome paint is just so much simpler.

Are they as bright as a regular incandescent bulb in daylight?

Otto... Seems you hit it with a camera flash... DOH!

Turn the thing on either side by side with an OEM bulb or something in a darkened garage.... This way we can see the difference...

All we see here is ewwwwwwwwww, Otto's hand is illuminated in a camera flash... Wow, I'm impressed....

The running light is the same brightness on both the turn signal is a bit brighter on the incandescent bulb. But what interests me is that the LED bulb consumes 50mA while the incandescent bulb consumes 650mA. That means on four lights that is 200mA for the LED while it is 2.6A for the bulb. That is both for the lo intensity. That is what interests me. The less load you have on lights the more is available for the ignition.

"The less load you have on lights the more is available for the ignition."...

Amen to that! ;)
One of the reasons I get away with dual H4 head lights....
Complete lighting converted over to digital/LED including instrument cluster lamps...

Easily saved a couple amps on the load...

I do not have a single incandescent bulb on the bike. Everything is led with the exception of the headlight which is HID with a LED daytime driving light.

This topic has come up before of course, and I like LED lights so I got some for my turn signals. I was under the impression that I would need a new relay to make the turn signals work properly. I put 4 LED brake signals in and they all work perfect. The hazard 4-ways don't light up, and one of my idiot lights slowly starts to faintly glow, but the regular left and rights work fine. Should this be happening? or does this suggest that somebody already swapped out one of the relays just not the one for the 4-ways?
