It has been suggested to me, why not use the Bi-Xenon bulbs in our systems. The reasons are couple. First of all they are much more susceptible to shock due to the solenoid and the sliding sleeve. You can actually shatter a Xenon tube because the slider can hit it during a shock. Also there are space considerations in our bikes. There is a rather large barrel in the back of the bulb to operate the shifting mechanism. This would have to be stuffed into your headlight bucket. In the situation where there is a Halogen bulb used as a Hi-Beam this is completely absent. There is nothing but wires coming from the bulb base. There is actually less than there is on a regular Halogen bulb, because there is no plug. The plug is at the end of a wire which can be tucked into any side space available.
