Another thing you can try/t-shoot with while waiting for parts... Do this in the garage so you don't have to push it home.... ;)

If available, set bike on center stand or rear wheel stand.

1) With a cold engine:
Perform and measure your ignition coil resistance measurements per manual specifications.

If your DVM has capacitance measuring capabilities, measure your condensers.

2) With a electric fan aimed at the the motor start and warm her up. Don't red line her but blip the throttle here and there....

Good throttle response, smoking, bogging etc...

Are you having to choke her to start, to run etc...

3) While running, check your ignition timing with a timing light.

4) Measure your coil voltages at different rpm range.
Measure at the coil posts versus the battery...

*** With back side of finger between first and second knuckles (temp sensitive) place near or on a coil warm, hot or holly shit nearly burned your freaking finger?

5) Once warmed ~ 10 minutes as in riding time....
Turn off the engine, and repeat your coil resistance & condenser measurements....

Did it die down as previous?

When the problem occurs, did it start smoking out the exhaust, back firing/popping, is the engine over heating etc....

If it dies, if you were to open the gas tank cap, will it open or is it vacuum sealed close?
Will the bike start if opened...?
Do you see fuel flowing in the lines?
