The black wire with the yellow stripe is part of the bikes ground circuit. Every wire has a purpose and there are no spares to use.

I may have previously listed the colors and what the wires do going the regulator/rectifier:

A. Three YELLOW wires,about 16-14 gauge in size,the alternator output wires.

B. One WHITE with RED stripe,about 12 gauge in size,the energy supply line for the bikes energy.

C. One BROWN wire,about 18 gauge in size,the sense circuit wire to prevent the regulator/rectifier from overcharging the battery and ruining it.

D. One BLACK with YELLOW stripe,part of the bikes grounding circuit.
