Well... my manual crashed this morning...lol it was a pdf file on my computer and now it's corrupt... Checked with biquetoast's site Kz750.com and the only test they give is resistance between green and brown. I will check this and I will also run it with the reg. bypassed and see what happens...

Update::
Ok field coil checks out with the fsm on bique's site. The field coil is at 3.1 ohms, with a max of 3.4 and a min of 2.some something (forgot already :blush: ) With the regulator bypasses get more voltage at pt a to pt b, but still no more at the battery...

That only leaves the battery, you have eliminated everything else.
What did the voltage increase to? I'd expect to see over 14 volts when doing that, almost or maybe over 15 volts.

According to his drawing and description, he is getting 14v so the charging system appears to be ok. If it were me, I would poke the meter lead in through the insulation to see the voltage differential along the wire. I keep my meter leads sharpened to a point. If the voltage drops gradually along the length of the wire, then it's drawing a lot of current. I suspect the drops will be somewhere at a connection, though. Use the battery's negative terminal as the reference for the black meter lead. This way you can see where you're losing ground (which all should be near zero volts), and charging voltage (which should be near 14 or more).

Steell... voltage was in the high 14s nearing 15 volts, I will be a little slow on testing, I got a nasty cut at work yesterday, got sent to the doctor from work today, ended up with a Tdap shot and I'm having a weird dizzy reaction to it currently got sent home and told to rest... Lol working on bikes is resting right?
