BSKZ650...I'm running stock size tires.
mariozappa...your running where I was before, you running stock size tires?
So far it's leaning toward 5500 but I'll wait for more..

5500@70 here too, don't know about tire size. (this internet business is killing my grammar!) I also have what's left of a ratchet that crossed paths with a gas axe that I can throw in the mix. (Idiots told me that was abuse, non-warranted:angry: )

My tach shows 5500 @ 2 MPH with a LOT of smoke
 :woohoo:  - sorry Blue... couldn't resist!
Glad to see you're back on the road! You might try a handheld GPS, that would tell you exactly where your Speedo is.

Well... I jumped on the bike last night to re-verify the RPM's.
A long steady, even roll at 70 MPH shows 57k RPM's. Perhaps my 31 year old tach is a bit tweaked.

Excellent, sounds like 5500 is the magic number. So my old spedo was off by 5+ mph. So I just got a free gear change, cool! Thanks for all the input guys. Now I just need to take apart the new spedo to remove the dead moth that crawled in there and I want to change the milage to match the original milage.
