Is the 3-phase stator you got going to work with your rotor?

Thanks. I didn't know whether or not the earlier rotor could be used with the 3-phase stator.loudhvx wrote: A 3-phase stator should be able to swap directly into a 1-phase alternator from the 650/700/750 family. Many have reported success with this swap. It requires a 3-phase reg/rec, of course.
In fact, it may be a good idea for mppittman89 to look into it as he is running a Dyna S on his 78 650, or at least keep an eye on battery voltage, especially on long trips.

If you are getting no spark at all, that is not likely due to the charging system. A battery alone would give you spark.mppittman89 wrote: Ya I'm actually at the point of buying a stators and 3 regulator bc I'm getting no spark. What year bikes can I grab a 3 phase stator and regulator off again? I have a 81 kz1000 if it's possible to steal them off that?

There are a few differences such as which coil is mounted on which side and the reg/rec is a single unit. some of the wire colors are different.i have a stock electronic ignition, could i just use the diagram for the dyna s for reference? Its an 82 kz750 n1.
1982 KZ750 KZ750N1 bare bones for Mpatrick19
