This is the reason I just spent $178.00 ( if I remember right ) with Jeff.
No more trying to figure out IF it's the 32 year wiring harness, no more setting up nights wondering If I can do it myself, and the fact that I KNOW it's done right and I don't have to worry about something frying on my bike ( or frying the whole bike ! ) because I screwed up.
I know not everyone can spend that kind of money for a wiring harness ( fixed income or whatever )but I NEEDED TO !
Just my two cents.

If pro is opposite of con, then what is the opposite of progress?

SPENDING MONEY ISNT A PROBLEM,IN FACT IM PRETTY GOOD AT IT!(SO SAYS THE WIFE BWAHA)I PERSONALLY PREFER TO BUILD AS MUCH OF MY OWN STUFF AS POSSIBLE,AND IM PRETTY GOOD AT THAT TOO!IVE ALLWAYS BEEN MORE IMPRESSED TO BY THINGS PEOPLE ACTUALLY BUILD RATHER THAN JUST BUYING THEM FROM A CATALOG,IF YOU TAKE A LITTLE TIME AND A LOT OF PRIDE IN WHAT YOU ARE DOING THERE ARE VERY FEW THINGS YOU CANT DO!GOODLUCK,HAPPY WRENCHING!

if we can get a bunch of people in close proximity to each other the price would be worth paying for the differant colors in 500ft rolls !

Lets see... These are the colors I can recall from a Z1 wiring harness... may be more and other colors are likely to show on other harnesses but I would start with these if I were building a harness or some subset of these... I would also stay with colors that I equate with certain functions on a Kaw; such as gray for turn right turn signal, green for the left, black/yellow for any ground, etc.
gray
green
blue
blue/white
brown
black
black/yellow
yellow/red
orange

I wouldnt ride that in the rain!!!!
Im building a new wiring harness for my 77 KZ 650C. I an an electrician by trade and have access and volumes of wire and can easily make a better quality harness than stock, it is a VERY simple harness on this bike. I am planning on making two or three as I have to buy small reels of the colors to match stock(makes troubleshooting with a schematic possible) so when I am done Ill post pics and a cost, shouldnt be too much if someone wants one.
