You MIGHT get lucky,and be able to lock the switch in the Run position,as long as it's not completely messed up in there.Not too sure about the room You'll have,also.
Just remember not to let it short out,on the handlebars,or You could end up with OTHER issues.Keep any wires from hanging loosely...solder,shrink-tube,black tape,zap-straps...

hard telling without having it in front of me,its just a set of contacts if you can take it apart.sometimes if ya tap or jiggle things just right miracles have been known to happen! i keep my wiring really basic!thanks, sorry to keep sounding like an idiot but iff i take the switch apart is there away to move the kill swich housing so it in the run position?

how should i lock it in the on possition?
Start off by taking that control apart,and have a good look in there,and tell Us what You find(pics are good too)...
