I hope to be heading back to the strip on the 21st. My stock KZ1000 ran 12.20's just a few years ago. I went up a little to a 1075 Wiseco piston, race cut trans, no other changes. I am hoping to break into the high 11's. Can hardly believe 10's on a 650 motor, that's damn fast! Here's a video from many years ago:

Haven't been to the track in a while but have got in some street mile's on the bike.
Been so hot here I've been going for early morning ride's when it's cool I can add some timing and turn the power up
but if I do a close bike night it's a 100 degrees and it don't like that much timing.

So since I can plug in the laptop and preload four timing curve's I loaded an AM and a PM curve.
I set the PM curve to start pulling timing out at 7000 rpm's and pull one degree every 1000 rpm till red line.
It kill's the power some but it let's me ride it in this heat on 93 pump gas.

Local shop is hosting a dyno day for one of the local sport bike group Sunday with a ten bike limit
$50.00 buck's for 3 to 5 pull's their cool with my KZ so I'm in at number five.
I want the A/F ratio print out so I can really see what the carbs are doing more than the hp number.

As for the hp.number tell me what you think it will make at the tire ?

Going to take the bike to the track this weekend at the dyno day bike made 87 hp at the tire with way rich jetting
so I've rejetted and with a few test hit's on the street it seem's to be pulling harder and getting to the shift point quicker
so that say's the power is up some.

Where were you and where are you now with the mains? I just went from 115s to 117.5s after draining the carbs and putting it away for winter. I'm quite a bit smaller but the cooler weather I run in 70 to 80 degree's should make up one size I'm think in.

So the 20 pilot and 122.5 mains are the leaner jets that you changed out after the dyno showed you way to rich? 87 HP sounds good ...... with you leaning it a little and a big cam you'd have to be in the low 90s.:woohoo: That Dyna 2000 is so nice too rev limiter and you being able to adj the timing curves ..... really wish I would a spent the extra cash when I got the new ign and coils.

I checked my note's and I was wrong it's a 22.5 pilot I went up and now the bike will idle some what right.
The main's I went down one size to the 122.5's but the best change was dropping the needle's two notch and taking
a bunch of part throttle fuel away.

Guess I should update this. The Twist off is a vintage bike event put on by Revival Cycles a local vintage/ antique bike shop
so most bike's there were cafe/bobber style bike some nice resto CB's, XS's some Norton's, Guzzy's Triumph a bunch of old beemer's

Now for the racing part. I got in about 25 pass for the weekend and set low E/T (7.23 my best pass) for the event from what I've been told.
Track prep sucked they didn't need to do a lot for the power most of the bikes made but for me I couldn't get the bike to hook up an spun the tire all weekend and couldn't get out of the 1.80 60 ft's.
I did get to run a few late model 600 class sport bikes and ate their lunch that was fun.
Best run's of the weekend I hooked up with two dude's from a local F/b page one on a 2015 R1 Yammaha and the other on a 2016 S1000RR BMW.
Ran the R1 three time's and got him all three not by much but I got the win light
Ran the BMW twice and got him both time's and was the best racing of the weekend looking back and seeing him coming
he was flying when came around me in the light's. A slow pass for me but here's a slip from one run we did.
