Hi Guys, I am in a bit of a pickle. My Z1R head is lunched and I have had to use the head off my project KZ1000 to replace it. Being in New Zealand trying to find a head to use for my KZ has been a nightmare. After several duds I have given up on finding one in useable condition over here. If anyone out there can help out I am after a useable head with no broken fins and matching cam caps from either KZ900 or KZ1000. Even if you can point me in the right direction to finding a reputable seller that would be awesome. Cheers. Andy.

Thanks for showing us the Heritage Kawasaki heads Scirocco.  What is the story on this project that Kawasaki undertook?  Last thing I recall seeing was a statement from Kawasaki that these heads were only going to be sold in Japan proper.  Once sold out Kawasaki was going to re-examine this program and go from there on continued production and development.  That information came from Kawasaki direct a couple of years ago when I wrote them asking about availability of these heads.   Thanks...

I asked friends in Japan and Kawasaki Accessory people in Lincoln and CA about the availability of the Heritage Heads a while back, and basically hit a dead end.  It seems crazy that the price for these is more than the entire motorcycle cost in the 1970s,  but looking at what POS "project" bikes are selling for in today's market, probably not out of line.  Sure would be nice if for $2K+ you got a head complete with valves. I checked the price on Partzilla yesterday, I think they were $83 apiece!  Has anyone used KibbleWhite valves?  They look like a more economical option at $38 apiece.

I just went to their website and it looks like you can still order it. I'm not sure if they have it in stock as I didn't actually purchased it, but was able to put the item in their shopping cart. I know this doesn't mean anything as they can always send out a mail stating "we're out of stock", but can't find any info anywhere in the page that item is sold out.

Because of where you live, I'm pretty sure it will be like me. Usually, shipping kills a good deal................
