Hey.

Does anybody know where I might find a timing advancer mounting bolt (and the nut that goes with it) for a 1976 KZ750?

The one on my bike has been pretty chewed up by previous owners.

If anyone has any ideas, especially of places in the UK that might have them, please let me know.

Thanks.

Joe

Have you checked Zed Power?
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Partzilla has a photo of the bolt & it has a number 7 on the bolt head.  I think the numbers indicate the torque range for the bolts; and for strength I think a JIS 7 would be equivalent to an 8.8 bolt found at the auto parts store, but don't quote me on that.   To be on the safe side you could install a hardened bolt. or just go ahead & get the Kawasaki bolt from the dealer, partzilla or EB. often times it's hard to find the correct sized bolt at the auto parts or hardware store.
