Trying to restore a set of Mikuni GPz550 smoothbore carbs. The plastic float tangs deformed and curled on one set from storage. If you have a set or parts from these Mikuni's TM 27D1 Carbs which you are no longer using please let me know.
Thank you,
Thank you,

Although these GPz550 Mikuni Smoothbores look like RS's they are first generationTM series carbs. From what I can tell Mikuni discontinued part support. Maybe I can take float width measurements and email jetsrus to see if the TM floats are the same width etc.

They list the TM series carbs. Mike is very responsive and helpful. I think they discontinued the plastic floats so the brass or the fiber floats may work for you. I used floats out of my VM 28's to replace the leaking brass floats in my 33's. I'll be buying new brass ones soon.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationThe part number appears to be 16031-1009 at least that is what partzilla indicates and there were many different bikes it was used on.
www.partzilla.com/product/kawasaki/16031...54b1057ed6d7d4eccf92
. There is always ebay
Shows a replacement for the same part number not saying it is what you need but it does say it is a replacement for it

Plastic floats are the work of the devil!
I rebuilt some Mikuni carbs from a ZX600 one time and found one of the (plastic) floats full of fuel. Bought a replacement and tossed the waterlogged float in my tool box...where it still sits a decade later with the float still full of fuel.

I tried jetrus and supplied Mike with float dimensions. Mike replied i dont have a cross ref to that float so i dont know where to send you. They list the TM series carbs.
