Nice 2nd gen KZ1000 cylinder head with original cover that has been steam cleaned and carefully inspected for flaws. It has been checked for flatness and will need shim buckets and cam saddle hardware to be complete. It was bagged, tagged and shelved in the 90s for two broken exhaust studs that you can see in the photo with yellow stickers over them. The pilot center holes have been drilled for extraction, but the work needs to be completed. The cam bearings are in nice shape, it's super clean inside and all of the gasket and mating surfaces are very nice. The cam caps were torqued to spec to insure there are no problems and every other thread on the head is factory cut and in great shape. $275 - Email is best

How about some photos of the head where the studs are broke?  Are the studs broken off clean, or did someone try to drill them out already?

Not to put words into his mouth but I read that the broken exhaust studs had been drilled but but not removed as of yet.  The last 2 pics (other than his email address) show them.

Correct.  Those photos were added after my comment.  It's always good to see what you are getting yourself into when buying used parts.

I like those smog heads! They come with long lasting Iron valve guides and dark nitrated valves.
I have one I worked up. A 1980 shafty bike sat for 20 years with a broken off flush spark plug. 1 of the shafts I bought to strip for the MarkII case and crank.
I never painted it, was going to paint black, but now Its going with my last project sale. So if someone wants it silver or black they can paint it. Only had 12,000 miles on it. I was the 1st to unbolt all the parts. I ground the valves just to clean them up, all bench shimmed with 32 teeth cams ready to bolt on and use. Tapped smog holes with 1/8' npt plugs.

My stuff has just sold off. All of it in 1 lot sale. Its going to the Cleveland area Sunday. I gave up on eBay, too much aggravation and Government intrusion with the giga tax & 1099K form and income over $600.  I think I'm over $6,000 so far this year.
But I sold my 20 year project and all the little goodies I have had stashed over the years.
I need space and time for my poor old FLH I've owned for 42 years.

That's why the change in the avatar pic. I sold out! Sorta' gonna' be emotional when I see it all drive away! 45 yrs. worth of memories! The last batch, & drag bike went to Ohio also in June. Ohio is the state for Kaws, OINK! JJ Cooper, Oink's partner are out of Ohio too. Tom Sudman (RIP) was in Ohio. Johnny Bova, "Johnny's Vintage Cycle", Johnny is 4 months behind in his work.

You might want to go back and read the first post in this thread.  It's clear that a head was posted for sale.
