Yes, looks good.  It has the OEM airbox...a rarity.

In the list of their vintage bikes for sale, they list it for sale at $28,000, so it's a long way from its reserve at this point.

Nice from 10ft. Lacking serious detailing.

Wow! I bought the same exact bike in spring of 1978 for $1,600. Then in the next spring I poured paint stripper on that same perfect tank!
Then 2-3 yrs. later cut the stock pipes off at the rear peg mount and put them on another for the dirt drags with a knobby tire!
Hope the prices keep going up! But the old demagraphics like myself are thinning out?? Hope collectors like them like the 1900 - teens old motorcycles you see selling for 100's of thousands at national auctions on tv.

Loving the current cost if it’s true reflection of value. Sorry but dig deep into the bike and it’s not all that. Aftermarket gauges, fenders, hand controls, incorrect bolts in the brake lever perch and front master. Rear turn sign have no wiring, no way they work. No pictures under the seat, or of the head tube sticker. No rubber on the gear shift lever. Aftermarket front foot pegs. Zip ties holding the harnesses to the handlebars. Rh fork ear is bent. No float bowl overflow hoses. Incorrect hose clamp on fuel line at petcock. Clutch cable outer sheath is burned off and inner sheath is rusted. Rear brake pad wear indicator pointer misaligned. Wrong rear passenger pegs. Dust boot on front top brake hose is wrong. Pinch bolt missing at the kick start lever. Front tire inner tube valve stem nut not seated. Front axle clamps missing lock washers. Front rotor to hub lock tabs not bent against the bolt head. Oil in sight glass black. No spark plug wire clamps.

This is supposed to be a “no expense spared restoration”, “This build took approximately 12 months”.

The video shows under the seat.  The silencer is missing, as well as the owners manual.  Who restores a bike and leaves the turn signals disconnected?

Mikaw, if I ever get around to doing a proper restoration I'm going to ask you to check my work.  You're going to need to read up on the Z1R.

Didn’t notice the video. More wrong stuff under there. No oil sticker, or helmet hook sticker. Missing both bolt on helmet hooks. Rear harness is mounted incorrect. As mentioned no silencer. Went back and looked again. This bike might not be safe to drive. The caliper holder bolts have Fuji lock nut swapped in for the correct shaft nuts and the pad B (inner) fixing washer is backwards. It also has the wrong front lower brake hose. The rear rim proctors (bead locks) are missing and what looks like a 1/4-20 bolt stuck in the rim to fill the hole, that has the potential to chaff the tube and cause a rear tire to go flat. I’d call this bike unsafe to ride!





This is exactly what I’ve been talking about when it comes to incorrect, possibly unsafe catalog bolt together bikes, and hamfisted mechanics trying to jump on the money train. Buyers beware. Do your research if you don’t know what your buying have someone knowledgeable look it over.
