well i inherited a tool box. as of now, all my tools are in a bucket or on the ground. i dont know how i went so long without one.
im not sure what brand it is, nor do i really care. its really heavy duty, and fits my needs. ill be striping it down and getting her looking like new. something to do while i have some down time.

i have been using paint striper and a wire wheel. i figure the drawers will be the worst part....:P

taking some time. i might have to fill in some of the rust dimples...not sure if the paint will fill it.

If it's a Kennedy, it will have a tag inside the top drawer. That's a score if you got a real Kennedy box for free.

yeah i have a soda blaster. makes such a mess..lol:laugh:

where would the kennedy sticker be in the top drawer? im sure its gone if it is....shes old.

The sticker in a Kennedy would be inside the top drawer. Open the drawer and look toward the right front. I wish I had my camera with me at work. I could take a picture and show you what it would look like.

Anyway, like PLUMMEN says, it looks like a machinist's box, but something about it doesn't look quite right for a Kennedy. I know that you aren't concerned with the brand, but if it were a Kennedy, you could still get any replacement part that you needed. Including touch up paint in the original colors.

That's why I said it looked like a kennedy. couldn't remember machinist for the life of me. kennedy is just the brand I'm most familiar with in that style.

It's a score no matter who built it... & it does look like a Kennedy, Tho all mine have full length handles. Do yourself a favor when you paint, & go w/something dark & smooth. it makes cleaning Much easier. Another tip, wrench & socket organizers are great! especially the plastic ones w/magnet bases, not only will they speed locating what yer looking for, but makes inventory a snap. G
