Waste oil shop heater?

Does anybody have the shop heater that is converted from wood fireplace or insert to burn waste motor oil?
I have fireplace insert someone gave to me that I want to convert. The shop has big old oil heat that I haven't used for maybe 10 years. Heating oil is not cheap these days. We get quite much of waste oil from cars, truck and bikes.
I have seen simple method that oil drips onto the old iron skillet. Looking for the detail of it.

Not sure i should put this here or Chit Chat. Please move to where it supposes to belong if necessary.

there's an old gas station down the road that uses one. The guy is a friend of my brother from school days. he runs one. if nothing else pops up for u let me know (send me a PM) and I'll take my camera down there and get a photo of how she works. I'd say he's runnin it today for sure its 15 out, and down to 9 the next 2 nites actually

EDIT now that i think about it, its a wood stove he converted, not sure but I think that's what is required, I remember him telling me thats what he does with most of his leftover oil from changes.

This gives me an idea . I have a gas house furnace that some one was discarding from a house because it was to small after they add on . I am thinking that I should be able to mod. it using some of these plans . That way I could use forced air to distribute the heat throw ducts .

I thought I have escaped from cold at here in FL for few days. Wrong. It was 50's today and will be 30's in the morning.

Anyway I looked at some on Youtube too. Some of those are scarely. I don't want to burn the shop down.
Drip feed with 1/4 copper pipe, 4'air intake on top of stove, old cast iron frying pan,,,,.

thats if u r using a wood STOVE, a insert would be/could be dangerous unless u close off the opening, used oil is not that combustible/dangerous unless left unattended
