i had old tubes of liquid nails, left over lag bolts, saved tins of mismatched 3-2-4 " screws, cans of sheetrock screws and scraps of 2x4 and 2x6 and 4x4 's ect...,the platform was a salvaged concrete form and i just started stacking wood in like sized piles and then just stared at for a few minutes it and went from there...you stack a 1000 lbs.on it ...and it only cost me 20 bucks for eye bolts and tie downs

I made one following a design Breeze used.
Just put it together with wood I had in the garage.
Has been very useful:

Wasn't able to find the last thread that I posted so here it is again. The idea's similar to Kawickrice's.

Started with this cheap/dangerous lift.

Made this with 2x4 and 3/4" plywood. Used scrap wood and may be 80-90 bucks in it for hinges, bolts, casters etc.Raise and lower it with old VW jack. Secure hinged legs with bolts when it is up. Move it around is easy with casters yet it is steady when casters are locked.

very interesting...i like the hole in the bench and have considered one myself...lotta things going on on that bench aye tybolt.....a thinking mans creation ,all of em really...bills and everyones show each persons experience with cycles and what they are thinking is gonna make the project "theirs"...take mine for example...with my ironworker background and being in the country...i ended up building a square looking overbuilt weather proof junker....

your guys benches are more precise and beautiful compared...

but both are their creaters example of perfect benches...more pics from folks -please

did not proof read and left for the day...hope it was entertaining...

Made a hole thinking may need extra space under motor sometimes. Usually keep it closed.
Somethings can be done easier if it is high like yours, Tri. Me being small build, I just can't push it up that high:laugh: .

i just talked to plummen and found out another trick.....see he leaves his motorcycle table smooth with no openings but found that cutting a round opening in his rolling chair helps......he can keep working on the bike even if he gets one of the side ache, corn fed, nebraska country shits stirring up in his waste gate....he just rolls the chair over a foot or two for sanatation and lets it rip ,no problem and never has to leave the shop......

plus it will keep those flies from buzzing around his face for about 20 minutes.....
