how about the deep sound? does KERKER give a nice sound?
i've got a kerker on my 1979 LTD and like it. it has the baffle in it, but the fiberglass packing was removed cause it was disintegrating and spitting out the back.
i was afraid it would be too loud w/o the fiberglas, but it's just right. sounds loud and tough, but not too loud. nothing like the harleys that drive through the neighbourhood.

kerkers are great that way. nothing like them.
my favorite, tho, is a fattie russ collins pipe. i had one on one of my old ltd's... it was amazing. kind of kerker-esque, but with a really nasty harshness. nasty in a mean, rip-snortin', not quite as bad as drag pipes on a harley but close to it way.
so glad i found one here a couple months ago for a couple bux. some brilliant dufus welded some funky bracket on to the megaphone, but it still fits. 8^) seals up good, and actually runs great on my 1015/29 smoothie setup. more tq higher in the rpm range.
the bassani that i will be using has a tiny collector, even compared to the vance pipes. has some good punch down low, but not so good top end.
