I just can't see how using a master link in the chain would be any problem at all. I never even replaced my chain but when i do im not splitting anything, hell no. Or to be safe i could use the 630 elephant chain like on the back wheel. Using the stock chain with cams and springs scares me a little but using a master doesnt make me nervous. If it were a big deal to have endless chain then im pissed at who the heck has me riding with a master link on the drive chain. Sometimes at night the master link falls off. I hate it. I hate it. Step one... go to the store and buy a gaskety kit. Then get the crank welded so its endless. While your at it, buy a whole new bike. If its got any master links beat it with a hammer and say naughty naughty!
