With the projects I have and trying to control the budget, haha. Admittedly I spend way to much time surfing looking for deals. But days and finds like this make it all worth it. I have found the unicorn wearing a wreath of 4 leaf clovers. KHI KZT00A 1000 31311 S, who knows what that number is? Found them less than 20 minutes from my house. They were listed as Kawasaki police. Not perfect but dang solid. Should clean up to be damn near mint.

Amazing find... a lot of times those were just thrown in the dump for some Kerker.

A friend of mine worked at a Kawasaki dealer in the late '70s early '80s, they had a barn full of those on the property, the owner got old and retired, sold all the stock to other dealers and sent all the take off pipes and air boxes to a salvage yard to be crushed at pennies per pound :(

Congratulations! They only made them for 2 years, so they're very rare nowadays. I got lucky with a set a few years ago to replace my original set which had developed a bit of rot. I still have the old ones. Don't know if they have any use, but I'm reluctant to ditch them. The last good set I saw were being sold for $2,500, I think! In the late 70's, most shops I dealt with had a few pairs hanging from their ceilings, having collected them from people going to 4 to 1 sets. They were usually for sale for $100 or so. I always preferred stock as it made the bike more of a sleeper.
Back in the saddle and loving it! KZ1000A1

Some years back, 2012 to be exact, I answered a craigslist ad for some Suzuki GS1100 pipes.  As it turns out, the seller had two pristine 1100 Katana systems, PLUS, an equally nice (Wes Cooley) GS1000S system.  Needless to say, I bought the lot!  And best of all, the seller was all of 10 minutes away.  Sometimes you just get lucky!
