What year motor is this?

I am in London, Ontario.

This motor is going in a drag bike, I don't know too much about 900/1000 motors since the majority of my bikes are KZ650/750.

I have three drag bikes, a sit up chassis 1327, a lay down chassis 1200 (motor shown is for this), and a KZ650 (831) that runs injected alcohol.
I also have five KZ650 street bikes.

The engine # starts with KZT00, not Z1E, so it is a KZ1000 number. However looking back at the original photograph it appears that the ridge surrounding the boss for the engine # has been sanded off, so it could very likely have been restamped. Whoever did it did a fairly nice job other than the final 0 which is not even visible in the photo.

Yes, I know that krazee. But the barrels are Z1, as is the valve cover. And I think the lower case may also be from a Z1.

After a second look I'm pretty sure the lower case isn't from a Z1. Also, the cam chain tensioner looks weird. And whoever put those carb boots on did them upside down and backwards.

Injected...I thought if you were close I could have a look. But London is a bit out of my way!

According to that web site it looks to be a set of 78 Police cases :

Barrel and head are probably off a Z1, engine covers from years other than what the cases are.
