I went an entire summer bump-starting my 550. I could do it without running, just walked a few steps. Definitely easier when it was warm, but cold wasn't too hard either. I converted it to batteryless operation. You have to remember to let it warm up awhile before riding off, though, to let some oil-pressure build up.
But, anyway, to the point of this post... are there any photos of your bike you can point me to. The avatar looks really cool!

I had some on one of those free photo hosts, but it went down last month, it doesn't look like it'll be up anytime soon.

Here's the KZ motor, with the Triumph tailpipe and drag bars. I haven't decided whether to use this seat or find an oem to put back on
