word of advise go ahead and put time cert in the center head bolt holes located under the valve cover and get 2 grade 8 allen head bolts to install in those 2 holes these always seem to strip no matter how careful you are when installing, nothing like having the head on and tightning the 2 center bolts only to have them strip !

I remember worrying about these but left them alone and only went to the min torgue. One of them could a should a done things. Read so much on the cam caps I heli coiled all 16 of them though.............. (not recommending it though even though it went well):P
1978 KZ650 b-2
700cc Wiseco kit 10 to 1.
1980 KZ750 cam, ape springs, stock clutch/ Barnett springs.
Vance and Hines Header w/ comp baffle and Ape pods, Dyna S and green coils, copper wires.
29MM smooth bores W/ 17.5 pilots, 0-6s and 117.5 main
16/42 gearing X ring chain and alum rear JT sprocket.
