Do i need to replace the head on my KZ1100R

Just spotted this Unitrack/Z1100R head and cams on Ebay from DK here in the UK.
They have wrongly listed it as B head (probably because the cams sprockets are stamped z1100B) but if you look close it's a bathtub..

How do you know it is a GPz1100A1 head like what I need and not a GPz1100B head as advertised! I don't know enough to tell the difference.
I will study my head and look at the photos of this one. I know the wrong head has a rocker cover with 2 panels that unbolt from it!

I will look frequently for your reply. I have seen Bath tub mentioned many times, what does it mean?

The 2 "panels" you refer to are one way reed valve chambers in the camcover for the US emmisions system and are not part of the actual head.
Plain UK etc covers without the "panels" bolt straight on.
The combustion chamber of the Unitrack/1100r head differs from the plain hemispherical of ALL the others.
It is a different shape usually called a Twin swirl .
The have been nicknamed "Bathtub" due to the elongated recess which surrounds the valves which vaguely resembles a bath or figure of 8.
Also on the Unitrack there is a letter "A" stamped in the mouth of each of the inlet tracts.
As Daveo has spotted it looks like there is an issue with 2 inlet valve but I doubt that any damage extends to the seat.
A new valve or one "borrowed" from your own head should sort that out.
If you are close enough to DK it would be worth giving them a visit to see the head in person or at least ask them some questions in Ebay messages about the valve.
Whatever you do, don't mention that it is actually a Unitrack/1100r head as they will cancel the listing and re-advertise at a much higher price.
You will notice that the head is also BEST OFFER.
DK usually allow around 10% discount so i'd offer at least £50 less on the first bid and see what happens.

Thanks so Much, I will contact the buyer on Monday, not mentioning that its a GPz1100A head, your information is great to know I have learnt loads. I will just check there is only damage to a valve rather than the head being damaged, and offer a bid of say £225 and see what they say, I also need a Generator side case approx. £50 and Oil Cooler for about £50 so see what deal can be done on all 3 items.

could be the end of my head troubles, once brought and the best parts from two heads refurbished as one working head by a specialist.

Head was sold on Sunday, Gutted, back to the drawing board!
