You can get fuel resistant epoxy Baldy, its used to line fiberglass tanks, amongst other things, there are some pretty tough epoxy products around...

Your are correct however 99% of people just break out the JB weld which will not hold up.

I have taken the advice I received on board and I have re-done the repair to the float valve pivot. This time I drilled and tapped a hole in the stump that was left, Threaded a piece of brass rod, then screwed it into the hole with a little thread lock on it.

Hope this works this time.

Looks good to me , as long as the hinge pin is parallel and true with the float rotation, I can't see any issues.

Ok guys, here's the start of the stupid questions.
How many turns out of the mixture screws would you recommend as a good starting point. On the KZ1300 you start with 3 to 3 1/2 turns, is the KZ1000 J1 the same?
