There are things you can do to diminish the buzz. I had a 550 in early 90s that was an LTD and it was not buzzy. I can't say how buzzy the 550A is as I haven't had any long rides on the one the found in Nov. I will say the 650 I had was smooth as silk at all speeds, including 100+. I am expecting the same. With a solid mount engine it is more common to come upon a harmonic disturbance at a specific rpm than true vibes. The pegs can be rubber insulated and different grips will improve bar buzz. You could also add bar end weight in many ways. The avatar you have looks like a stock bike. It goes without saying that wheel balance, proper fastener torque and assembly methods can contribute to vibrations. If the vibes are constant and increase with rpm only I would say you have a tire or chassis issue. if it is high or specific rpm you have a harmonic disturbance that probably has to be tolerated. Get out of that rpm range by shifting or adjusting engine speed. Good luck. I will have mine out for longer rides as soon as possible. :woohoo:

For some reason the standard was geared to 16/40 while the gpz's are 16/38. I think they were trying to get a little more acceleration on the standard. From what I've experienced, the standard tends to run out of RPM before it runs out of acceleration, as does the gpz, so you would probably do fine to go 17/40 or 16/38. Those combinations turn out almost exactly the same, and either works fine. 16/40 is a bit buzzy at highway speed. The difference is about 5mph at 5000 rpm.
