Cleaning/identifying a header was created by dom2570
I just got this on eBay. It was only $75, so I figured I would take a chance on it.
Any ideas as to what it is, and what I should do to clean it up.

Pictures are from the eBay auction. I will post more when it arrives.

Almost looks like a corker.

Yes I spelled that wrong on purpose. Got a pic of the baffle end?

Edit: what I've had good success doing lately is a bath in Oxallic acid, cleans things up relatively well, doesn't attack chrome or paint. Worked better than expected on my H2 pipes

?Sorry but I can not say, as I certainly do not claim to be a header expert. IMO unless there are some markings as to who or whom may of constructed it, it can be very hard to know just who did.

There have been so many different exhaust producers, many that do look only like themselves but just as many if not more that look much like eachother.

They all start to look alike after awhile, that is for sure. Here are a few more pictures. It looks to be in salvageable shape.

Kerker IMHO from the baffle or a kerker clone. I can't stand 4-into 1 exhaust because of what you said "all look alike"

The PO drilled out the stock exhaust on my daily driver 750. My project 750's exhaust was damaged in a wreck by it's PO. Hopefully this will work with one of them. I have never had a 4 into 1 so I figured $75 was worth giving it a shot.

The shape of the muffler sure looks like it cold be a Kerker.

Holes in stock exhaust. Did the po just drill holes in the end caps, or did he do more than that?
I bought a nice set set w holes and plugged them by cutting threads & installing brass plugs.

Kerker. The holes are for the missing name plate.

If it ends up being a kerker, and cleans up decent, I'd say $75 was a pretty darn good price, considering how much a new one costs. Lol fingers crossed!

The megaphone is a Kerker for sure. The collector or front section doesn't look like a kerker though

It came in the mail today. It is a kerker. A few dents, one small hole. :( I could live with that. I attempted to see how it would fit and broke and exhaust stud! Now I'm just angry lol
