If theyre shim under bucket youll have to remove tensioner and cams then remove the buckets to change the shims.
If it uses shims on top like the 900/1000 series bikes you can make a toolto push bucket down out of a bent screwdriver, then you just need a metal wedge to hold bucket down while you change the shim.
*if it uses the 900/1000 style shims leave the tensioner alone.

That's what they are - shim under bucket. Before attempting to remove the shims read the appropriate sections of the manual very carefully and ask any questions you may have before starting. Also, before you start take close-up photos of the cam sprocket and crankshaft orientation so you know how they should look when you re-install each cam. Do one cam at a time. Be sure to have an appropriate torque wrench (INCH pounds) for re-assembly and do not apply more torque than the Kawasaki Service Manual specifies. Ed
