Anybody running directly from headers?

Is that a stock 4 into 2 exhaust system? If so, unless it is in rough shape, I would not try to remove the baffles.

Reason 1 - The stock exhaust systems have much $$$ value if they are not modified. If modified, forget it.

Reason 2 - The baffles don't just slip out of them like on aftermarket systems. Below is a diagram of the KZ650 stock mufflers. Yours is different, but if stock I believe the internal construction is very similar. So removing the baffles destroys the muffler. Ed
