I will either take the head off and take a look in a few weeks or take it to you and let you do your magic. Either way your doing the work. Here are some pictures of the cams i had back for my z1 engine. Would save me some coin if I can use these.

Pretty similar to an OEM 83 GP11 grind. Get some APE or Kibble springs.

You hit it right on the head about the valve guide Larry. The guide dropped and then broke .
And the elr head does look like it was cleared at the factory.

Well those cams do not work in this head with adjustable cam sprockets . I put the stock cams in and will look at valve shims later. Hope there close. The base of both cams look close. will find out.
