If you still have the stock air box ditch the pods and go back. Search the twins forum for "Moog mod" for a way to connect the carbs to the box easily.

If you can find entire stock airbox assembly for a kawasaki kz750 (twin) LTD K1 under $50 I'll buy it.
Until then, the pods will suffice. Soon I'll get some K&N pods, until then I'm probably like everyone else - Forever wanting more - always strapped for cash.
@ Z1Driver - It's pretty icy here in OKC. As soon as I get a day with clear, dry roads, that is above 50 degrees I'm gonna do that. I only have 42 miles on my new (working) dash, I'm dying to have fun with my bike, but its like a frozen wasteland where I am.
THanks everyone for the help.

Yeah, it's pretty cold where I am too. My bikes are sleeping until spring. Not looking towards a valve check on the C14 with shims under buckets.

"Checking" is the quick and easy part.
Just insert thickness gauge between cam and bucket with cam lobe pointing away from the bucket.
And the clearances may be found within specs to rule out tight valves as being an issue.
If clearance adjustment is found to be necessary, the shims must of course then be accessed.
Good Fortune!
