What are the products of combustion? Water vapor and carbon dioxide. Our engines share the case with the transmission

I ride it everyday that it's not raining. And far enough to get up to temp. I'm not quit following what you trying to say here

A milky site glass is a very common especially with synthetic oils when water vapor is frothed into oil and the bike doesn't get up to temp.

+1 That's what water looks like. gasoline will mix into it and thin it, but it won't make white foam. Only water.

The oil was a milky brownish white.......
Yes I know. That's what I was saying. It's not possible unless someone is messing with it where I park. My curiosity is now getting the better of me. I'm going out to drain the oil.
Sometimes a problem with the crank case vent can allow condensation to form in the crank case.

What is the crank case breather hose connected to?

The breather tube off the case just has a small breather filter clamped to it. No hose running any where. I going to say it was from the rain the other night. It never occurred to me that it would make it into the oil. I was pretty wet by the time I hit the garage so water hitting my air filters and the crank case filter, must have been enough to get in there I guess.

Yeah, I would have guessed the crank case filter. I can't picture much water getting past the rings while it's running, but maybe it can? When gasoline gets into the oil, it's from flooding down into the cylinders and then draining down past the rings when it's not running.

if it's the chopped bike in your avatar......... NO rear fender or inner fender :S IMO, water is thrown forward into the case vent from the rear wheel.....crank vent filter or not :pinch:

Put the crank case vent on a longer hose and mount it up high under the seat somewhere to protect it from the rain etc.

Or route the longer hose to exit underneath the bike.

And toss the filter, which imo is useless -- like who other than the EPA folks care about whether air is being filtered as it exits the crankcase (which is the purpose of the vent).

Good Fortune! :)
