What was wrong with it?
petcocks can be re-built. AFAIK, there are no rebuild kits for the KZ400 petcock. However you can use the 4 hole gasket from an early Honda CB750. Go ahead and polish the inside surface of the lever while you are at it.

The previous owner used a ton of silicone to seal it to the tank instead of a gasket and got the reserve all gunked up with silicone. I thought about doing a rebuild on it but I think its only a couple bucks more to buy a whole new one.
That on on the ebay link looks like it will work perfectly. Thanks!

I am also going to have to replace my rocker shaft o-rings here really soon. has anyone done this before? I would like to do it without taking the engine apart if possible.
